History Of Covenant Hall Schools

The vision for Covenant Hall Schools arose out of a long-standing passion and desire to raise an outstanding institution that will cater for the needs of parents seeking an opportunity for a school with high standards of academic and moral instruction within an affordable financial base. Such a school would be on a purpose built edifice and in attractive and aesthetic surroundings.

The school started in September 2011 with 14 students in temporary premises at 1 Osapa London while efforts were ongoing to obtain approval for a purpose built structure. The new structure with the following facilities was completed in September 2012

• 17. Offices – Principal; Vice Principal
• 18. Administration office

There are now 34 students and 22 members of staff on full-time employment. Recreation grounds are on two sides of the school while a large field is also available free to the school in the next compound. The School has a Board of Governors consisting of experienced men and women with an abiding interest in education. An active Parent-Teacher Association has been very helpful in bringing up ideas which are contributing to the rapid growth of the School. Propertor's Message

The vision for an institution to cater for educational needs of young people (from a year old to Secondary School age) was birthed in the mind of the founder/Director of Covenant Hall Schools long before the opening of the Creche in July 2007. Mrs Fidelia N. Aire graduated with a B.Sc (Second Class Upper Division) in Education from the University Of Benin in 1980 and with an M.B.A degree from the University Of Lagos in 1989.

She served as an Education Officer in the Lagos State Ministry for several years. With her rich background in education, she promoted the establishment of Covenant Hall Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools in their new premises in 2011. With an outstanding Board of trustees, and staff strength of over 30 dedicated men and women, Covenant Hall Schools provide a wonderful opportunity to lay a sound educational and moral foundation for young people. With an open mind the Director and the staff of Covenant Schools welcome new ideas and suggestions from parents in the belief that the home and the school have a joint responsibility to build the future leaders of our great nation and indeed for all humanity.

Covenant Hall Schools are the result of a vision for excellence in the formative stages of a child’s life. We are driven by a consuming desire to provide a total learning package for the total child. It is a package that helps the child to grow intellectually while at the same time developing in character as a socially balanced and responsible being. We are proud of our team of highly qualified and motivated teachers and other supporting staff who ensure that the Covenant Hall School child gets the best possible in clean and attractive school environment. This way the Covenant Hall School student has a head start to move with tertiary education. It is a learning experience that transforms and prepares students for leadership.
